This one took a little while. Here's the painted version of the sketch, this time I'm going for a more dramatic lighting than the "guardian". Using colors to bring out the characters. The giant "pimple" on the forehead is a broken horn actually............. Very inspired by Frank Frazetta's mood works, he rocks! Comments and critics welcomed guys.Related content

Ha ha! Inspired! Ha! I prefer to call it "liberal borrowing for creative inspiration" at this point! Totally awesome! THose tree root branch things are straight out of Frazetta's swamps and dark jungles. Admirably brought to life! So is the maiden hunting or being hunted?

I'd have to crazy to not fave this, so i will! The darkness and sinister look of the big pig thing is really powerful. the tonal work is also amazing! What prgram did you use to colour, and how long it take, if you don't mind me asking?

Beautiful color choice. It's really nice and striking against the deep background, and the way the eye is drawn into the boar monster really adds to the effect. If I had any complaints, it would be that the girl doesn't seem to be standing on anything, but I hardly think it really matters. Beautiful colors, texture, and atmosphere.

Thanks, I was trying something different this time with a bit more stroytelling involved. Was trying bolder colors to bring the characters out from the background, was worried at one point the boar might look like its roasted red but I guess it turned out better. Cheers!
