This is what happens when Isabelle keeps giving you a 1 star rating for your island, and the villager gets tired of it.
so yea seems my villager has asked Isabelle to help him with a fishing trip, put her in a floatie, and let her swim out into the ocean. A Big fish is coming, and it seems to have a fin, whut oh, looks like Isabelle is about to be shark bait, and she's obviously not into the idea anymore.
my villager design is based off some custom designs I made in the game, one being my island's emblem, an oarfish. and the other being a Waluigi hat.
so comment, enjoy and no annoying doggos were harmed in the making of this video, the shark got away before i could reeel it in.... my fishing finger gets a lil twitchy and sometimes reels in too soon..

eh, i just need more residents, I got the land plots down, and i'm thinking of getting miles up so i can put down the teacups ride and build a tiny amusement park in the bottom corner of my island.
my island's a lil bit spread out and i got a lot of trees and flowers on it so far xp

Yep. Once you get enough residents moved in you can start focusing on placing stuff around your island, you only need approx. 8-10 residents total to move up to 2 stars.
I like your amusement park idea! I'm still trying to think of something special that I want for my island.
Just be aware that you can have too many trees on your island. I think Isabelle will let you know if your island is perfect tree-wise before you get up to 2 stars.
The day after I had her say that, I got up to 3 stars from one, completely skipping 2.
