now today i felt in the mood to try out a bit of semi realism practice, So uding my OC Lunea as my test submject again. all in all i think i did okthings i know i could have done better: i'd have to say the shoulders coulda been bigger
and possibly the hardest to do was her mouth! man it was nearly impossible to make her mouth look good with the lips in realism. but in all i tried to make her hair look a bit more realistic with the individual strands.so comment and enjoy, and yea she has some interesting expression, maybe its cause of the movie i'm watchin........

You still have a long way to go. As I still see your guide lines, you putting it all wrong face proportion too. Sorry if I'm being harsh and a jerk to you but you must accept critiques and critiques IS HARSH... You are way beyond semi realism as I can tell you. I'm not even close to it. You and I have a long way to go. You may say" is just a practice" but actually you are repeating the same old mistake? This where you LEARN from mistake
Fact:
1. Perspective view is all wrong.
2. You must know your proportion error as you draw finish, check for mistake error like the eye part MAKE SURE that is balance. Try drawing everything lightly cause you putting to much pressure in it
3. Check your character face feature. Is distorted the cheek IS swelling.
4. Your character hair is too stiff there's no smooth feeling. No matter is a male or female, there's smoothness on hair. For yours it looks like a lump of thick un-brush hair
5. Character necklace seems to float there's no gravity...Unless your necklace is a flat belt with jewel, that is acceptable. You are chocking your own character
[link] is just you didn't put much effort in it. You must put all you hearts and soul to complete and improvement to your work. Just like cooking you put all your heart and soul to make a soup taste better without it, is tasteless.

i guess i shoulda mentioned i am not good at realism, or semi realism. and i mst think ur starting to get annoyed with me not able to improve at all. i feel i only do it lil by lil

Errr about that is not that I'm annoyed with you I just want you to improve but it happens to me too. I have even great critiques than the one I gave you. Is worth it too cause I been observe your drawing and so I'm trying to help you and to point out your mistake. At least you don't need to see me face to face cause mine I face to face with my sensei they just say like "Even a baby can do better than you" something like that and more harsh words but I accept it and I did it.
Critique is your friend. They helps you harsh or not, they still help.

i know that, but it feels real discouraging cause its more like ur saying i have never done any improvement. i mean i know critiques are good, bt sometimes it makes ya feel, well, discouraged

Well don't get me wrong ok. They may seems discouraging but that's the point is to make and help you to improve ok. Whatever it is just take it like a step ok. Chill. Is only benefit you I don't gain or lose so try a harder or maybe just draw a new one, make sure you have your old one beside you. Compare if is the same try making it different. I'm sure you can do it. You just have to believe in yourself that you can do it

with my dislike for what i was trying to do, i may not try it again. anyhoo still this was a victory for me, cause this pic actually somehow managed to appear in the top 600 pics of this 8 hours.

m'kay just make sure you look at the backs of the packages to see what size they are, if u want a thick one get 1.0 but if u want a sorta thick/thin get 0.5
