Description

Pokemon's colossal gimmick, Gigantamaxxing, is the upgraded version of the also introduced dynamaxxing in the next pokemon game. because they decided to try and justify their poor national dex decision by doubling down on their new gimmick by making more copies of it.....

but anyways, Dynamaxxing alone looks like the pokemon are huge already. but looking at the current pokes who're gigantamaxxed.... shows something kinda underwhelming.... only two of them actually exceed 100 feet: meowth and alcremie. Gigantamax charizard is only like 90 feet, in height or length is not known (seriously, pokemon needs to give more than 1 dimension of sizing to their pokemon....)

so yea. while many describe them as kaiju. sad to say that gigantmax pokemon don't even come close to kaiju sizes. Godzilla is 3 times the size of a gigantamax charizard still. okay maybe that 300 feet he has is in length, but still, he's still thrice the size of charizard. And that's just godzilla...

So yea, Gojira seems to have found himself a "Charmander"

comment and enjoy, and remember THIS IS MEANT FOR HUMOR PURPOSES

pokemon belongs to Nintendo

Godzilla belongs to Toho

EDIT: with all the gigantamax pokemon out now, while there are a few that do exceed 100 feet, only 1 actually could be considered a kaiju honestly: Centiskorch grows to almost 250 feet long when in gigantmax, which definitely is bigger than some toho kaiju

I mean, does it really matter that Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokemon aren’t as big as actual Kaiju? They still tower over us and make us look like insects in comparison. That’s still pretty damn big.

yea, but compared to other colossi in pop culture, pokemon are still tiny..... The likes of Smaug and Drogon could easily snack on one of these gigantmaxxed pokemon like nothing.

When i think of dynamax, i think of the sizes that the gigantmax pokemon actually are. Cause that's how they looked in the ingame footage. but seeing the canon heights just feels a lil underwhelming to me when compared to other pop culture giants.

even without this feature. pokemon are still rather small. default Charizard is still only our size.. and on average most pokemon don't even get past 3 feet. I know they're pocket monsters but still, some of them feel like they could have been bigger.

Again, does it really still matter if other pop culture colossi outsize Dynamaxed and Gigantimaxed Pokemon when they still all tower over us at their sizes? Who cares if they’re small fry to Kaiju and other colossi, Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokemon are still big enough to crush us like bugs at their size. That’s just how I feel in regards to them.

Yeah, that’s why I prefer the sizes the anime gives to Pokémon as opposed to the sizes the Pokedex lists for them. They just feel more appropriate.

yea, it'd also help if the games gave more than just one dimsension of size to go off of...

yea. the only pokemon i could see being godzilla's size, or close enough to it, in gigantmax form is Wailord. that thing needs to be at least 200 feet long minimum in gigantamax.
