Yay!
If you can name them, I must be drawing them alright!
It's the first time I've drawn alot of these characters and with so many of them together.
Ah I forgot to include Dulcy the Dragon from SATAM though, oh well...
Still, would you believe it I've got some more colouring in to do on this picture.:3

Oh noes, I think True Kaoz may have found some more forgotten characters, this time in the form of an old game gear game (which is why I didn't remember them) Tails Sky Patrol. Some of the game villians, redisgned. Quite interesting thought you might like to view.

Why isn't Sally next to Sonic?

Kingofturves In reply to heavens-champion [2010-06-26 07:23:06 +0000 UTC]

Good question. On the coupling front I think I've suggested strong connections between Antoine & Bunnie and between Silver & Blaze.
But as for Sonic, he's a bit of player and a free agent.
The two stongest contendors are Amy & Sonic and Sally & Sonic. There have been overs eg. Tiara, Elise, etc. but Amy and Sally have the strongest camps of loyal fans.
Both couples have strong support from the Sonic fandom community.
Sally, the girl next door, a princess/royalty, but humble and a strong leader, Miss Popular.
Amy, the passionate devoted fan girl, fiercely loyal to Sonic.
But Sonic often dismisses Amy as being to naive and childish.
Sally on the otherhand, would probably have a problem, since she's destined to become a powerful leader, whereas I don't think Sonic would want to be tied down with the responsibilities of becoming king/prince.

What are your thoughts?

I'd think Sonic should take his chances with Sally.

I think that'ld be the more likely of the two.

...stares over the picket line of angry pro-amy, anti-sally supporters...
Unfortunately, there's almost as many on the other side who beg to differ.

How about a comprimise, Sonic can love himself (he really can be a bit vain sometimes and egotistical).
and we can make do with a Sally-Amy pairing.:3

(looks at pro-amy and anti-sally fans; in a threatening voice) Leave the area... if you want to live.
(anti-sally fans and pro-amy fans run like they've never run before)
I find that compromise unacceptable.

Each to their own, I'm a universalist and generally have no qualms about any particular pairing or grouping. I'm not sure if there are actually any characters I dislike, (with perhaps the exceptional of Sonic X's Chris Thorndyke, but neither do I hate any of them).
My only real dislikes are when characters are overly simplified and dumbed down to much.

Hey, Who's your favorite fantasy writer?

Terry Pratchett.

heavens-champion In reply to Kingofturves [2010-06-28 16:06:55 +0000 UTC]

Really? Can you name one of his books?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kingofturves In reply to heavens-champion [2010-06-28 17:23:14 +0000 UTC]

Mainly the discworld novels.
Starting with Colour of Magic & then the light fantastic.
These are the first books, which follow a hapless wizard named Rincewind.
The discworld novels are split into a number of 'themed' strands that focus in on and around particular aspects of the discworld universe.
For example, there's a group of novels that revolve around a group night watchmen in one of the disc's busiest cties. Starting with 'Guards Guards' I think.
There's another that focuses in on the Unseen university in the city (a college of wizards), and the various happenings.
The last major grouping of novels focuses on a coven of witches.

I would probably recommend Guards Guards or Wyrd Sisters as a good starting point.

The whole series is very tongue in cheek, it has it's serious points, but can also be lighthearted.
The stories are a variety of adventure, romance, intrigue, comedy, mystery, etc.

Hmmm... I think I like J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.

Kingofturves In reply to heavens-champion [2010-06-29 08:14:40 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, I've read J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Triology, bit like running a marathon, you need to pace yourself and it is a long slog, but well worth it in the end.

You might enjoy Terry Pratchett if you like the way Tolkien builds up an entire world. Pratchett's novels also have an almost film like quality to them.

Oh darn, I should of asked whether you'ld already finished reading it through. Mind you if you've seen the films, whilst there are some omissions/additions/swap arounds, they do try to keep as faithful to the books as possible.

Thanks.
Started this back in March & for a while all that had been coloured in was the centre of the pic.
Quality's a bit of a mixture, as it was sketched over a number of lunch hour breaks at work. Just about done.Phew :3
