Description Bloody Maries

Everybody's favorite Mary Sue decides there's only room in town for one unbelievably perfect female Ghostbuster.

For those who aren't familiar, Rachel is Rachel Unglighter, one of the protagonists from IDW's recent and excellent Ghostbusters miniseries, Displaced Aggression.

Those in the know will understand Keith Champagne's name being dropped.

Mary Sue Gladstone is the creation of my good friend, Fritz Baugh

Her uniform really is that ghastly (although her having little embroidered hearts on her nametag was my invention):

Very enjoyable in the making fun of the not very original female character from nowhere.

Is it just me or does Keith Champagne sound like cartoon character?

The name is a bit odd, definitely.

I think they need to ship Mary-Sue to Elbonia

That might work, but the problem is she might claw her way back.

Neptune would be a better choice.

But the trick with that is getting them to put up with her annoying the hell outta them long enough to get her passport revoked.

Don't forget Elbonians are terrified with cameras. I dunno how the Elbonians would deal with her!

Top notch work as always! I really dig the transparent word bubbles!

Thanks Johnny, I feel the slight transparency gives the bubbles a bit of a refresh for the 21st century, in addition to the other reasons so far mentioned.

I absolutely agree. I had never seen it done before. And I really like it!

I think I've only ever seen it used in webcomics, must be something to do with the way dialogue bubbles in print comics have to be set for publishing.

that makes sense, probably would not look right printed.

why are all the speech bubbles transparent?

kingpin1055 In reply to Zenidiot-Creations [2010-02-18 02:48:01 +0000 UTC]

It's a style I liked but forgot where I saw it originally... it allows me the ability to not have the speech bubbles completely block everything out that is on the layer beneath them.

And as it happens, it also allowed me to take emphasis away from the "fight" bubbles, so that they aren't getting muddled up with Peter, Janine and Egon's dialogue.
