Description
www.youtube.com/watch?v=69U9P8…Mutated cells of malignant tumors proliferate rapidly, often suffering disruptions of their life cycle... The X-like structure in the middle is a pathological, abnormal attempt at mitosis which resulted in cell trying to divide itself in two perpendicular planes. It now looks like an X marking a treasure, on a shoreline of an island, on some old pirate's map...
Ahoy!

When I worked in a college lab , I would use a particular slide to adjust microscopes. It was a slide of echinococcus multilocaris. Even it was labeled Granulosis, I knew the descript was in error. Granulosis is one large cyst with hydatid "sand" in a saline clear fluid. Multilocaris has numerous chambers in the cyst, with the larvae in a gel. This hideous lifeform serves NO purpose. The cyst came from an animal : it does not develop right in humans.
But I digress, I wander.
When I adjust the microscope right, I can adjust focus so as to make out the ring of hooks in the larvae.

Yes, cancer cells start by de-activation of the growth control genes and finally the DNA becomes totally deranged.
