Description
It's from a Lovecraftian board game which I don't own (yet!) but finding this guy on an auction I couldn't stop myself from bouing him just for the sake of painting.

They have excellent details indeed, better than the Cthulhu wars, but design wise, I prefer CW. They seem to get closer to my own designs of the monsters, at least in some cases.

Yes! Along with The War of the Words, my fave human-are-not-the-centre-of-the-universe story, though Lovecraft's one finishes in a more satisfactory way.

Know how you feel, there's one from a game called heroclix, I think, that has a Cthulhu figure that I want so bad, he's stepping out of the water and reaching forward in the pose

I am not particularly crazy about those minis as my own visions of the mythos monsters usually depart quite far from the classic ones. So far I have bought a Nightgaunt and Elder Thing because these are pretty universal in how they look and thus not very far from my vision.
