One of my favorite cryptids. I don't know if you can get The Mothman Prophecies by John Keel in translation but it's a really great read. It goes quick but is densely packed with odd occurrences and weirdness. I really enjoyed it.

Hmmmm maybe will check it out then, however, in Trey's analysis the book was said to have been written years after the original events and many of its revelations weren't confirmed in any sources from the time they took place.

Yeah, the book is more a dramatization by Keel of his investigation so take it with a grain of salt. It was probably written in part to take advantage of the late 1970's UFO/Supernatural trend. So much fun weird stuff in it, though. Just reading about Indrid Cold is worth it.
Just like The Amityville Horror (outside of the Defoe murders) is thoroughly debunked, but the book was still a great read.

Thnaks. You are right about Hedorah! I wasn't even into Kaiju genre at the time though.

Sounds cool.
I haven't drawn weird monsters and creatures in a long time, and I've been in the mood to draw some again after looking at several videos about cryptids and SCPs.
I also haven't uploaded anything in months, so I should probably make some stuff so that my gallery doesn't look dead anymore. XD

Alright, I'll let you know.
I kinda wish there were more cryptids/urban legends in my country, only thing I could find was something called "The creature of Holland" something about a wolf/human hybrid made during WW2, (it's been a while since I've looked it up so my memory is a bit fuzzy about it. ) It sounds interesting, but that seems to be the only dutch cryptid, cryptids like the Flatwoods Monster and Mothman seem a bit more interesting in my opinion, but probably because they had more exposure and people talking about them.
I think you've probably heard of Trey The Explainer, I think I found your art via him, his videos on Cryptids are also super interesting, and that he gives a speculation on how the cryptid would look of it was a real life creature.

I dunno if there are any Polish cryptids, many years ago in a local newspaper I've seen claims that in one lake there lives a loch ness monster type of creature but it never got any more publicity than that We do have some post-Nazi ruins where they allegedly experimented on time travel or antigravity flying saucers or something like that.
Well, if you ask about Trey you've probably didn't read the description here....

Ah yes, all the stories about Nazis experimenting on flying saucers, and having a secret base in antarctica and the moon, I know that they did experiment on children in concentration camps, horrible things, but I find the flying saucer and anti gravity ideas a little bit far fetched, but that's just me.
I do think that that the stories about Nazi experiments makes for interesting horror stories.
And sorry for not noticing The link to Trey's vid in the description.
I kinda just look at a drawing and fave it without looking at the description most of the time, but I'll promise to read the description from now on so that I wont make this mistake anymore.

The base of those tales is probably that US has recruited many Nazi scientists. Such things as B2 bomber and space rockets were developed from nazi tech.
No worries, but I encourage to read descriptions, often I give much info in them

Ah yes, I've heard about Wernher Von Braun, interesting stuff.
Also, speaking of big catfish, there was this giant 150 CM Catfish in a dutch lake over 10 years ago, that fish would eat 3 fully grown ducks daily, pretty scary stuff.

That isn't so big for this type of fish, I know they can grow to more than 2,5 meters. In some book from the eighties I read that in XIX or early XX century there were 5 meter long specimens caught but this might or might not be true.

Wow, that's pretty big, guess I'm just very uneducated about big catfish.
I find water animals very interesting, they can be both so beautiful and terrifying at the same time, like goblin sharks.

Indeed, and that can lead to great inspirational work sometimes.
You can make something from underwater look like a lovecraftian horror, or something elegant and majestic looking.
I especially love creatures that are incredibly huge, something breathtaking if you'd be able to swim next to it, or spot it at the horizon.

The dog was a biter,
With cats was a fighter.
The monster he saw him,
Grabbed him and ate him,
We're glad the dog's gone away.

Starkly nightmarish in every way! Makes me wanna read The Mothman Prophecies again, which had some neat cosmic ideas.
