"Look into the reflector, Podling! Feel the power of the Dark Crystal!"SkeTek, the Scientist, despite his technical genius, is not respected by other Skeksis, most likely due to his small size as well as submissive personality.
He was the one to employ Dark Crystal's energies to drain the vital essence of Gelflings in order to prolong the Skeksis' lifespan. He has also built many other technical marvels such as his bionic eye and limbs.
