Well, I am surprised you didn't see it earlier. I guess I've hidden it too well.

Yes. The planetary creatures are intended as the first fully colored series. And I hope all will be as good as the Moon creature or better. Anyway, expect the Mars creature soon, in all its bloodthirsty glory xP

Mmmm right. I'm thrilled in anticipation. However, there isn't much blood on Mars you know
Btw, I'm most interested in Saturn and Jupiter :3

Judging by their distance, I will probably learn to color better before I reach them...

Errmmm.... they are right after Mars, in fact (if 'right after' means 'being separated by a VAST stretch of empty space', lol XD ). Or you'll do Mercury first? Even so I would suppose Jupiter would be next. Or perhaps you'll add the fifth planet too? :3 Jupiter being the sixth :3

Next will probably be the Mercury. And maybe the Sun. Then I go for gas giants.

Ah, the Sun. Yeah, THAT would be interesting.
But why don't you go for the fifth planet too? I'm really curious what you can come up with for a mysterious planet as this.

lapis-lazuri In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2017-09-26 09:20:59 +0000 UTC]
Sure! Here ya go, illustrated explanation:
c8.alamy.com/comp/E96832/solar…
Reads as follows: Sun, Pl. I - Mercury, Pl. II - Venus, Pl. III - Earth, Pl. IV - Mars, Pl. V - Some Dude That Got Shattered To Pieces A Zillion Years Ago, Pl. VI - Jupiter, Pl. VII - Saturn, Pl. VIII - Uranus, Pl. IX - Neptune.... aaand also Pl. X - Pluto/Charon (really a twin planet), but that picture here obviously goes by that idiotic notion that since Pluto/Charon were once moons that got torn away from Uranus (if I remember correctly) they don't deserve to be called a (twin) planet, even if they DO have an orbit of their own now. Of course there's more stuffs beyond Pluto/Charon too, but about them I admit I know little.

I see, well from the sources about astronomy I have read, it is considered very unlikely that the asteroid belt would actually be remains of a planet, if even possible at all... Jupiter's gravitational influence wouldn't allow forming of a planet in this region, it's mass is extremely small, and chemical composition very ununiform. So maybe an aborted fetus creature
As for "plutokilling" from what I know, since there were many other objects like it discovered orbiting in Kuiper's belt and even more of such are suspected to be found. Therefore "dwarf planet" category was created for those objects. There is a possibility, that there is yet another bigger planet there, yet there is not enough data to confirm or disprove it for now.
Speaking of astronomy, a guy from Poland I've been watching for a long time has recently made a first full-length documentary movie about astronomy, black holes in particular. I think it is his first video with english subtitles, so I recommend checking it out, very interesting. www.youtube.com/watch?v=63qdJf…

I think you misunderstand my interest in astronomy. I have very little respect for extant astronomers by default because they fail to properly explain very obvious inconsistencies in the composition of this solar system. Also because, just like any other extant human scientists, they prefer to ignore facts which cannot be explained in their narrow-minded ways than.... broaden their minds so to speak. But that's me. I for one see it as very probable for a shattered 5th planet to have existed and I'll tell you why - because it is very much in unison and coherence with the signs of catastrophic destruction that some unknown cataclysmic event has left throughout the Solar System in ages past. All of which, by the way, are overlooked by said astronomers as just "quirks" of the planets - or at least that's the impression I've been left with, given that astronomy is really something I rarely delve into too deeply, I admit.
And about Pluto, Hell, I couldn't care less. In all my children's books Pluto WAS a planet. I grew up with Pluto being a planet. I refuse to believe Pluto seized to be a planet in mere 20 years. That should normally take aeons you know, seizing to be a planet. So nope, no way. Not to me. Period. I mean, it's one thing to add 20 more planets. But it's much too different to erase even one. No. Just no. Fuck you, science. Nope.
Thanks.

Ah, a feminine Space Jockey. XD
This may be another one of my top favorite things from you. The form, the composition, it's all so elegant and perfectly represents the title. God I love it!
Also looks like something which might appear in a poem by Smith. His cosmic poems always have such weird myth-things.
