Description The race of Alien invaders from Wells' book as hypotetically they would look in their native environment.  Their tentacles would allow thel to raise the main body instead of  dragging it on the ground. A Martian is basically a giant head and a pair of hands evolved into nimble tentacles.

Yes. I think the two variants are distinctive enough to give them separate artworks.

I'm not complaining, in fact keep them coming.
Also, after you finish "War of the Worlds" cycle do you plan to do Selenites sycle from "First men in the moon" book?

The original story can be read here at wikisource. Since it was published various illustrators have came up with various mutually contradictory fanart selenite designs, my favorites of which are probably the ones by Georges Méliès , Greg Charest , Christopher Jewell and Bob Eggleton .

Likewise unfortunately, he changed a lot of the original creature designs. Most depictions of the selenites just turn them into ant-headed humanoids while the original design was considerably more alien. Probably their most noticeable trait was that rather than spinal columns, their necks and abdomens had ball-and-socket jointing like vertebrate limbs.

Thanks for the explanation.
I think that Mr. Harryhausens work is reason enough to put that movie on my movie night playlist.
