Flaming feet , nice detail . Is that also a trade in the legend?

Blackwood mentions this very specifically, although I do not know what his source was.

It is a cross between a Wendigo and a xenomorph (I know, pretty obvious). When a human reverts to cannibalism then a facehugger impregnates it,this is what it creates. This xenomorph has extermely long fingers ending in very long claws. It has very large sharp teeth especially it's canines that are used to easily bite into human flesh. The antlers are connected directly to the skull and can vary depending upon it's host(these also can vary depending upon it's rank in a hive).Instead of an animal skull it has an angry looking human skull. It does have eyes but they are small they can however glow dark orange in the dark
Like the legend the Wendigo is constantly hungry, this trait moves onto the xenomorph. This starvation trait makes it hunt constantly and even though it kills, it cannot eat, this drives it to kill more, but it's hunger just remains the same.
This wendigo hybrid stands 10ft-15ft.As the hybrid lives on, it can put animal and human skulls upon it's antlers, making each one like a trophy to it just as we do when we hunt animals.
This wendigo xenomorph hybrid possesses everything a regular xenomorph has.One main reason why a xenomorph hive many adopt this as a queen is because it can raise xenomorphs from the dead(meaning it could also make it's own hive from adult xenomorphs).

Why is it based on a deer in modern art while many people told me in mythology it was just a standard ogre? When did it change or was the deer monster some less popular variant in the past? I would love to know more.

I think it actually was originally a deer. Maybe different cultures have different versions for the Wendigo? I know that native Americans may have different versions for different tribes.

Nice picture, though I have a question: how come most depictions of this monster depict it as like an upright walking carnivorous deer, while in actual folklore is more like a zombie creature, or a ogre like giant?

No Idea honestly. I never managed to get any book on Native American folklore and mythology yet. I think it looks better than a generic ogre though. I've seen an illustration for Blackwood's story where it is a deer-antlered ogre. Maybe this was the "transition".

Reminds me of this rpgmaker game called "skinwalker" they got a small part of the wendigo lore right, but not much. (It was pretty scary though, I'll give it that.)

Gawsh. Even the Wendigo looks exceptional in your style. I'm glad your Wendigo is of the gaunt, eerily tall and slender variety, sort of emphasizing its ravenous hunger as well as giving it the impression of a terrifying walking tree. This beast looks like a great abomination, and I've seen very few Wendigo illustrations which can even go near your level of imagination and skill in horror.
Algernon Blackwood isn't my favorite writer, but some of his stories are my favorite stories. "The Wendigo" and "The Willows" especially. His more mystical nature tales can be nice too.

Very malnourished and stick figure like in nature. This is one of the better Wendigo artworks out there that stay true to the legend
