Nimh absolutely had this coming, for a long time. It's tragic that she can't articulate her thoughts to Ophion properly, because if he knew her history and how she thought of things he'd probably understand a lot better, but as it is she has simply treated him like shit and he can't take it any more.
The two of them have a real rough road ahead if they ever want any hope of salvaging this relationship, if it can even be done.
