Description
Just playing around with first person perspective, with a little (slightly too enthusiastic) help from Antonio. There's far too much goop in the stomach bit but it looks okay. Kinda like a sparkly fairy grotto. The kind of fairy grotto that melts you into nothing with incredibly corrosive acid.
Also zero outlines. This is unfamiliar territory and it scares me.

love it, especially the inside view. Seems soft, warm but still dangerous

Thank you c: heh, well that's sort of what I was aiming for. i'd imagine it'd be quite cozy at first before becoming really rather horrible (that is if you're not panicking the entire time)

I think it looks calm and cozy especially because the mouth pic seems very dynamic and it looks dangerous. Stomach is the place where you rest after a long chaotic ride

Thank you! Yes, it's one of my OCs, Antonio [link] (the one on the left)

Both of these have some really nice atmosphere to them... the twists and mass of the tongue is done very nicely, and I love the very subtle touches to show the ripples in the pool of acid in the stomach, as well as rendering such a poorly lit space to still look interesting. ^^ Very nice work, I would definitely be excited to see more experiments like this!

Oh, thank you! I can't tell you how refreshing it is to get a detailed comment on my stuff!
I'm glad you think the lighting in the stomach works well, I was puzzling over that for quite a while! So many layers @.@;
I think I could do with a little refinement, but it's really assuring to know I'm on the right track! <3

Well, if you take your time to complete a work, I feel like you should get at least a semi-coherent reply. ^^ I'd want the same thing, after all!
But yeah, I really do feel like it works. I think, in further experiments, I would like to see you try to capture the texture and deep shadows and folds inside a stomach... have you ever had a chance to look at an endoscopy of different kinds of stomachs? Having seen some really nice high-definition ones of human and dog stomachs, it's a really freaky looking environment.
That's not to say you should go for a very realistic looking design, particularly for more monstrous characters. But I think trying to convey folds of tissue, and areas of really deep shadow, capturing a sense of volume and space above and beyond what you've done here would really kick your work up a notch.

Heh, very true. So, still, thank you! <3
Ah, I've only seen a few but next time I have a go, I'll spend a lot of time beforehand looking up refs and inspiration of that nature.
Well he's a humanoid monster so I really should try and create a more 'realistic' effect overall anyway. I really value your advice, I'll do what I can to work on depth and overall volume! It's already bothering me with how open the space inside feels so no doubt I'll try and correct that.

It's really worth having a look and studying from life, even if it is just video and photographs. I've found it can be fun to treat body interiors more as landscapes than as part of a living creature. Treat every fold, every twist and turn of the flesh as hills, mountain ranges, valleys... drive into it, get real close, and just play with details. ^^ It can be a ton of fun to take such a different perspective to painting something like that.

Oooh, I'll certainly keep those tips in mind, that's a great technique to remember! Yeah, I'll really get into it next time and work into the shading and the contours as much as I possibly can!

Well, it's not really a technique so much as it is just a way of looking at what you're trying to draw ^^ But I hope you have fun with it, and I look forward to seeing future art experiments of yours!

Still certainly worth keeping in mind while I'm working, though! I hope I don't disappoint with future efforts!
