lol this is my first bit of pixel art ever, so be nastythe character is... Genericman... his powers are... somewhat uninspiring
...though looking at it the biggest bloody problem is that i didnt use a guide image... oh well

For your first pixel art ever, it looks really good. I do a lot of pixel art (though none of my sprites are on DA yet), so I think I can speak from experience.
Three things look a little off about this:
1) The right arm should be a little smaller, since it's further away.
2) The right foot, even though it's further away, should actually be a little bigger, enough so for it to go up the same distance on the leg.
3) The back should either be straighter, or tilt the neck a little. Standing like that would give a person a horrible neck cramp in no time.
Overall, pretty minor nitpicks; it's still really good work.
