Revamp Rules and Guidelines

We'd like to announce a new revamp rule.
In the past, those who had slots to a Kin who got a revamp could use either design
(the one they purchased a slot to or the new design). Looking back at the rule we felt like it was
unfair for those who bought a kin and revamped it so they could have a fresh start.

So from now on those who have a slot to a kin must use the version of the kin
purchased for the slot at the time. If the kin becomes revamped, then permission
is needed to use the updated design. If you sell the slot to someone else, it is still
for the old design and not the new one. This means you will need to keep up and
track this yourself. Staff will be keeping track of revamped designs. Essentially slots can only be used
with the design that the slot was sold to and not the updated or new one.

You are only allowed to revamp once you have fully paid for them.

You can only revamp once under your ownership, even if you have previously owned them.
This doesn't include using trait vouchers, changing the hairstyle, or eye color.
The overhaul item does not count for the free revamp.

As a general rule, you may either swap traits or alter the hues or change the markings a bit, it is not often all three are accepted.
This is so we can distinguish what design it was originally. If you have a few small changes, like making a star
larger and then changing horns, that would be accepted for example. Removing some markings, or adding markings,
and changing the ears and tail wouldn't be accepted because then it's hard to tell what it was originally. This rule doesn't
apply to using your trait vouchers and other character upgrades.

New Revamp Rule: If the Kintaur has an ID of K001-K080 and has no slots used or promised, the Kintaur may be more
drastically changed. They must still keep the original idea, but we would allow bigger changes and may be accepted with all three changes
(marking, color, traits). As we approve some of the Kintaurs with this applied rule, we will use them as examples.

When you revamp, you must do the revamp on your own lines, use a base provided in the free base section, or commission someone else.

If it doesn't resemble the original design enough for us to be able to tell, it will be declined.
We sometimes accept major revamps that still resemble the original design. To help, below are guidelines.

If you gain ownership of a character that's been revamped by the previous owner, reverting back to the original design is classed as a revamp.

You are allowed to edit some markings, such as adding them or taking them away. Here's an example!

You are allowed to change the colour on small markings/eyes/hair to different hues or colours.

You are allowed to change the hue of the whole design if you wish; for example, you may either lighten, darken, or saturate them.
This does not mean you can change the colour of the whole design!

You are allowed to change the traits of by swapping for the same rarity (or lower). They also have to be in the same area.
For example; If your Kintaur has uncommon ears, you are allowed to change the shape of the ears to any that
appear in the uncommon or common trait column. You cannot, however, change uncommon ears for uncommon horns.
Nubs for nubs, tail for tail, etc.

Once your revamp has been completed, please post the before and after in this journal
along side a written explanation on what has been changed.

Please remember; each revamp is case-by-case. Sometimes we have allowed drastic changes.
It is not allowed to trade a character that's already been revamped under your ownership
to someone else just so they can revamp it for you. If we see people doing this, warnings will be given out.
