Description
From our special Sonic the Comic issue given away free at Sonic the Comic Con... I will update this page when the story become available onlineThis was my first published art in a printed Comic and I got to work with some really talented people
I wanted to single out India Swift and Charles RB who I worked directly with and who worked on the shame story as me.
I think wrote a great story and I could't have asked for better pencils then 's

The only thing I wasn't keen on was the blue motion lines around the largest, foreground Sonic. I think it could be a bit tidier and I think there was some confusion as to which part is flooring and which part is Sonic's motion trail. In the background around the giant Badnik (was it given a name?!) the motion trail is fine but in the foreground around Sonic it's a bit much. Having said that, it could be interpreted as turbulence coming from Sonic's attack...
I think out of the two my favourite page is the second one, just because of things like Arnie!Porker, Im Tails, Cerealbox!Shortfuse and the Amy cosplayer snogging the Sonic cosplayer! XD Also I think your colouring is much better in the second page than the first. The explosion looks good, the use of the radial pattern behind the characters is used well, and I think it looks generally better controlled than the first one (and I mean that as a compliment, honest!). thanks Mambo there was never any need to remove any critique from the forum, all critique is a way to reflect on what is in front of us what can be better, or what we can learn from others reactions. There are thing that I think given the deadline and personal stress of the project might have got lost in translation, and i'm sorry that your self and shay felt you'd over step marks as I don't think that was ever the case.
I think you are right about the blur lines in the foreground and I did change them (unfortunately my changes I think were missed for the printed version) I was confused to start on what was floor, i'm glad shay pointed it out, the perspective of this page was I felt slightly exaggerated and I couldn't quite get it to look how I wanted.
That said I was very happy with the tails and badnik on the first page. I think the colouring on page 6-7 are certainly better, and I had a lot of fun with little things like making the bear sonic co player have 3 different shades of blue and different textured feels for his different clothes items, or adding the porker lewis can't lose logo.
I'm also ridiculously happy with grimmer in fact I think he's may favourite piece of colouring I've ever done on someone else's work. I think Shay did a great job, and it's one moment where I actually feel like I've added something not just passable but good.
I'm enormously indebted to both you and pete for bailing me out in such a hard time, and your support in finishing this project. I wanted to work much more closely with you and get more of your art in the comic, but that wasn't possible to which I again apologise.

Thank you so much for helping bring this story to life, Matt. Your colouring technique has never looked better than it does in this issue in my opinion! Can't wait for this issue to go online so even more people can see it
