HAPPY SEPTEMBER 23RDif you don’t know why it’s significant, it’s the release date of MCRs album “The Black Parade” and also the 3rd anniversary of the mcr fandom re-awakening bc we thought the band was getting back together in 2016 (they didn’t)
ANYWAY. have this sorta redraw of a thing I made 2 or 3 years ago for mr. geesus’s birthday, now it was way more expression and better lighting
also normally my drawing program spits out rly shitty renders of the drawing when I export them and I have to fuck with the lighting until it stops bugging out BUT THIS TIME IT DIDNT DO IT SO THATS A BIG BONUS
i still don’t have my pen back btw. I drew this with a backup stylus and honestly? im kinda proud
neytirix’s lightning techniques can save any bad drawing that’s for sure lmao

Every Snowflake's Different is their most kid-friendly song and I unironically like it. Helena was my first mcr song when I was two. I'm Not Okay was the song that got me back into listening to them. Boy Division is incredible. Recently been constantly listening to Vampire Money and Make Room!!! just because one was written in retaliation of the creators of Twilight trying to get them to write a song for the movie and the other had a lot of the same themes but was less direct. Mama is chaotic and when I first listened to it I never knew what direction it would take next. Welcome to the Black Parade has the iconic G note and is one of the songs Gerard's vocals really really excelled at. Party At The End Of The World is just fun to listen to. To The End is gay. You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison is also iconic and Gerard's vocals excelled on that one too. Their covers of Under Pressure and Desolation Row were incredible. Party Poison is really fun to listen to and is such a high-energy song. This Is The Best Day Ever and Early Sunsets Over Monroeville have an amazing storytelling aspect. Idk I can't choose.

Na Na Na is DEFINITELY my favourite song. I have an entire story inspired by it, FFS. (the story is an old Eddsworld AU that is ridiculously self-indulgent- it's a cyberpunk AU based heavily around 2000s dystopian YA novels. And features a self-insert as a moderately important character. The story is stuck in a rut of writer's block and I AM open to collaboration.)
