Description John Gypsum created the artwork for this ship, and kindly allowed me to place it in my dA gallery. He designed the ship for Frank Chadwick's Space: 1889 (TM) game, the Ajax is an original ship design, but was heavilly influenced by the game's original HMS Aphid illustrations. The slats on the belly of the ships hull represent the Martian "Liftwood" panels which allow the Martians (and now the Earthmen) to build these "floating" ships and other aerial conveyances.
