Puppy! *shot*Sort of a partner piece to my Kappa drawing. I'd like to do more 'standard' monsters with my own takes on them ^_^
So this is supposed to be a manticore. Head of a man, body of a lion, and tail of a scorpion is about what I remember its is 'supposed' to look like. ^_^
I did somehow forget how much wispy hair sucks to color. I forget every time, yet.... love it XD oh well.

I think manticore is supposed to have bat-like wings, but this is still an awesome looking beast. Well done!

This is what you call awesome! This has got to be the best Manticore picture I have ever seen. The art good too mainly because of how nice all the little hairs look. I love the dynamic pose and all the little new things you added as well. I mean can anyone draw a more threatening creature? Oh wait someone did. [link]

Amazing, I love the vivid reds and golds, the flow of the fur is beautifully done, you can almost imagine the texture and the way if would feel. Plus I love the background
