**quick note***DA said that .swf's aren't allowed in the pencil tests category, but how else do I export it? Answers on a postcard, plz.SEEMO!
zomg, 3 weeks of character animation boiled down in 15 seconds for your enjoyment.
you've already seen Seemo in turnaround form, [link] I hope he moves like he looks like he should. I had to cut off one of his bangs so you could see his face more.
Clip is from The Boosh, of course. The bit before the 'calm a llama down' song. It's been slightly edited to get it down to 15 seconds (thanks to *Yusecki ). Good times!
Critique is hugely appreciated! I know there's issues with hair shrinkage, lip sync and stuff... but I think I'm learning! =]

THAT is frickin' Incredible. It's the first traditional fram by frame animation I've seen in sooo long. So much more fluid and realistic. I love it. I wish I could my characters like this, but I'mm too damned lazy to try this.

Watched this about a dozen times in the last couple of weeks and i'm still impressed. The Boosh is pretty mediocre to me but that doesn't remove the fact that you've done a really great job of synching Seemo's mouth and body actions to the audio.
Another nice tough is that the eyes and mouth remind me of the characters in Rocko's Modern life (back when Nickelodeon were great).

Awesome. I love the timing, the hands, the hair, the mouth shape. Love it. I dont like the view looking up when he raises his head, i dunno, it just doesnt flow i dont think. But its a great piece.

mm the head up thing was hard, shame it didn't quite work out! I have a problem making my 2d's work all the way round 3 dimensionally, but I hope it will come with time and practice =]

This is really awesome, and remarkably well done with basic skills!
I would say, some high paying animator may not put in as much passion to their work, when there are animators such as YOURSELF that would at least receive half of what they are earning, but put a lot of effort and consideration to make animation as fluid, great, and above all, enjoyable to see!
Please, let this burning flame of skills take over your passion to animate!

this is really nice. Try adusting your timing a little bit- he has a lot of medium movements but not a lot of tiny or huge ones. I like the way he gets really small at one point, but that's really the only pause we get in the whole thing. The overlapping action and everything is really nice, though.

The tutors picked up on the timing of stuff too. I tried to make it quite staccato but I probably could have pushed it more. It was quite hard to do because the dialogue is pretty nonstop, but deffo something I will keep in mind for the future =]

I love the followthrough and secondary motion of the emo fringe, plus the 'OO' lips are awesome too.
My sis is a mega Boosh fan and loves it.
My only, really really picky, vcrit (only because you asked) is maybe you could show him higher, there's a lot of wasted above him, or maybe a background, not just white.
But anyways, honestly, it's awesome, one of the best of 2D.
