i got the idea for this pic recently... few days before i acquired my tablet, thus i decided to make this my very 1st drawing with my new tablet... and very first fully Painter 8 pic.Sharing milkshakes is a common thing most... erm... couples do but who says u can only share with ur lover... or only humans?
i was aiming for a very warm pic... so i used less blue n lotsa warm colours. lineart's still a little messy... but overall i like the result of this pic ^^ C&C welcome~!

when i was planning this picture... the 1st item i wanted on the wall was the picture of a cat XD
the jar was supposed to b either filled with honey or some sorta spice/powder... the shelf is a spice/herbs shelf. mayb its my bad coz i couldnt paint the jar properly...
but i have a reason for each element i put in there ^^ n the only thing i felt i did wrong with this pic is the shadows arent prominent enough TT_TT

nice ambience in your overall composition. Soft, warm and fuzzy. The only thing that bothers me is the piece's continuity...or rather discontinuity.
Look closely and you will see that the girl is 2 timing her pet cat by sharing milkshake with a baby dragon @_@ lolz. That's because she has a picture of her beloved cat hung on the wall. As you know, staging and props plays an important role in establishing character relationships in a scene and since she's enjoying a warm afternoon drinking a glass of cool milkshake with her cute baby dragon, dontcha think it's more appropriate to strengthen the scene by replacing the neko's picture with the baby dragon's portrait?
Maybe a picture of the dragon with the girl perhaps? The cat in the picture can be a woodden toy or a rottan weaving and could be placed on the rack to replace the ambiguous yellow jar to add to the overall cuteness to the piece. (or maybe as a hidden neko trademark :3)

swt... dude wht have u got against a simple cat picture in the background? the character doesn't necessarily own a cat if she has a picture of a cat... the reason it's there is coz i like pictures of simple cute cats... ==;;
ur like saying i cant play with my cat if i hang a picture of a dog on my wall... btw i have pictures of whales n dolphins in my bedroom wall

this is very warm, just as you intended, the colors, and soft lighting are the perfect accent for the concept of the image. the little blue dragon's pretty cute too. and th ebackground's nicely detailed. i like it
