Description
A more in-depth look at how I created my faux-succulent dinosaur planters! These were all created for my family and friends as Christmas gifts in 2017. I didn't plan to actually make a tutorial, I just happened to take a bunch of photos while I was working on them to remind myself of how I did it, in case I ever wanted to make more XD
If this inspires you to create something, please PLEASE tag me or post it here! I would love to see what you make! β₯
I still have a few leftover supplies; I've been thinking of making a few more of these and throwing them into my [Etsy shop ] (for anyone who might want one but isn't quite the crafty type)!

Oh man, if you found a big long one like a sauropod, you could plant multiple things all along its back - so pretty!

Omgosh these are so fun!!! And such a neat idea for gifts, gotta love a good crafty christmas present! Think it'd be hard to cut the dinos open and plant live succulents instead? XD

No, certainly not at all! Though you would probably want to use one that stands on all fours - filling it with sand or rocks that you'd need for a real plant might make the ones on two legs too heavy. You'll also want to make sure to get yourself a hollow toy. I tried one of the full solid ones and it's impossible to cut unless you've got some actual hole borer power tools.
