Probably my favorite of all the boxes I burned. I tried not to get carried away, but because this was the largest box, I was able to put more detail into it than any of the others. This box shows what the full leaf nib looks like that I also used to make the scales on [this] dragon design. The most unfortunate thing about all of this though, is that this present was actually stolen right out of Vinta's mailbox on Christmas day, before he even got a chance to see it. I don't know why anyone would stoop so low as to steal a Christmas present, and now instead of being in the hands of someone who would really appreciate it, this box was probably just tossed away the moment the theif realized it wasn't worth anything.
Oh well. Suppose I shall be more careful about delivering Christmas presents next year.
All of these boxes were bought premade which I then sanded, burned, and then stained in a Danish oil finish.
