"Rollin' around at the speed of sound, got places to go, gotta FOLLOW MY RAINBOW!"The lyrics of which inspired this picture. Sonic the Hedgehog isn't my favorite video game character in any sense, nor is his game series, but I still hold some appreciate for him and the world he lives in. I thought it would be funny to throw a whole bunch of the characters into "rainbow order" and I've had this artwork idea in my head for quite a while, just never got around to doing it. I inked and colored the whole thing in Flash, since I've been doing that a lot with my commissions lately. It came out alright, hopefully I did all of the characters justice. Quick rundown:
RED: Knuckles the Echidna
ORANGE-RED: Charmy the Bee
ORANGE-YELLOW: Cream the Rabbit (with Cheese the Chao)
YELLOW: Miles "Tails" Prower
GREEN: Vector the Crocodile
GREEN-BLUE: Chaos Zero
BLUE: Sonic the Hedgehog
INDIGO: Big the Cat
VIOLET: Nack the Weasel
PURPLE: Blaze the Cat
MAGENTA: Espio the Chameleon
PINK: Amy Rose
PINK-WHITE: Rouge the Bat
WHITE: Silver the Hedgehog
BLACK: Shadow the Hedgehog

Am I correct in assuming that this is actually your first time drawing the Sonic characters? Because, if so, your style of art does seem to fit some of them well - particularly Knuckles and Nack the Weasel.
Regardless, this was a very clever idea. Nicely depicted.

Looks like they used all of the colors. Now all is left is to use combinations like teal or dark colors. Its only a matter of time before more characters come along so, yeah
