I always felt that asgore has a over whelming guilt with him for the murder that was committed for the greater good of the kingdom and if you looked at the cut scenes in fnaf it shows purple guy killing these kids for no reason and doing it with a S M I L E

Well... I'm not one of those CRAZY fan girls... and I'm not saying Purple Guy's COMPLETELY blameless, he fucking deserved to be sprungtrapped, buttt... I've seen theories around of his backstory and stuff... and it's kinda sad? Again. Mostly to blame. But whatever. I have no opinion on Asgore because I don't care for Undertale.

With Asgore, i can understand it. He didn't mean no harm. Sure his methods weren't correct, but he deserves as much love as Toriel or Papyrus.
Now, with purple guy/ William afton, there's no excuse. He killed lots of kids. The problem is that the "fangirls" likes to see him as that old version called Vincent. Seriously, why gave love to a murderer. Perhaps the only "misunderstood" purple guy was his son, Michael.

To be fair, there isn't much canon evidence that purple guy isn't misunderstood. However going based off of just canon information, Asgore is definitely the more sympathetic out of the two. And it makes no sense why one child murderer, who killed children for understandable reasons, is hated by fans whereas the other, who we have no idea why he killed kids, has so many fangirls. I will never understand how people can find a collection of purple pixels arranged in a goofy way hot.

What makes this even worse is the only reason people call Asgore a child murderer is because they're so obsessed with making Toriel look like an innocent cinnamon roll and shipping her with Sans that they claim Asgore is some terrible thing that he's not, all to make Sans and Toriel look better. Purple Guy is a child murderer, yet fangirls are obsessed with him and love him. There's nothing complex about him, so they don't need to reduce him to something completely positive or negative to fit their needs. Makes me wonder how they would treat real child killers...

More so is that Asgore was pressured by his duties to take his people to the surface that he swore but keeps procrastinating himself out of regret and fear because he regretted that decision. It was even implied it could take one human soul to break the barrier but he kept doing it out of self doubt and the pressure from his promise to his people.Β
