What does "Give Credit" mean? How do you do it?

just means to let ppl know that the base came from me, usually by saying it came from kirby90210 or posting the link to the original base or my icon

Do i really HAVE to fave before using? I mean i like it but i never actually aff bases to my fav.

you don't HAVE to, I'd like it if you did it just allows base makers to more easily monitor who's using their bases

you can edit any of my bases however you want so long as i get credited as the base maker
if you plan to combine my bases with someone else's bases make sure they're okay with it first because some base makers don't like frankendolling

think of frankendolling as cutting and pasting. You take a various pieces from different bases and combine them.

cant we use them in the outside world? like...print the out? and how would you know if we posted them on anther site, or used them at all?

well, most of it is trust. Other artists say "i know this person don't want their stuff posted on other sites, and since i'm an artist/art lover, I know hwo it would feel to have my stuff stolen too. Besides that, if I saw my bases anywhere else besides DA, I'd take them down or disable downloads. As for outside world use, I personally wouldn't mind, but I better not see it on another site.

Well, can I point something out?? I donβt really think its necessary to actually credit you to the Line arts since they arenβt necessarily yours. They are just screen shots and you just lined over them. If anything, we should credit Bones. Fine, you are the one handing hem out like flyers and stuff. But really, I donβt really its right for you to claim these line arts like your own artβ¦.Just saying. That is all.

either way, I want credit (credit for making the lineart you're using, not the anime which belongs to Bones) for the lineart and a link if you choose to use them

Yeah sry if you're going "wtf..." lol, but sometimes people really don't know. It was hard for me to tell the difference between and original base and a free use base until I got in trouble a few times lol
