Also, I checked out your old picture just to see your description, and I agree; as someone who DOES write about Paul quite frequently, it's hard to find a good place/scenario where he would cry
For those who make him just burst into tears randomly, I kinda get where they're coming from; they may interpret Paul as someone who suppresses their emotions, thus a sudden surge of emotion may occur randomly, however he still needs some 'reason' for this
Now, I'm not saying I'm the best at writing Paul's character (Far from it, especially since I try to strike a balance of his personality in the anime and try to show he's matured since he's older), however one scenario that did make him completely break down in my story 'Once In A New Moon' was when Reggie's life was on the line; obviously, some parts of it connect to my own headcanon, but in the end, considering how hard Paul actually worked to try and save his own brother only for him to think he came too late... I think that's a perfectly good reason for him to just break down into tears. I mean come on, his own brother is dying right in front of him! XP

All in all, Paul is a tough character to write about when it comes to emotional scenes. Many think something happened in his past for him to be this way (Before Brandon beat Reggie of course) including myself which helps us write him a little bit, but he's still a tough nut to crack in writing...
