Description
Ive been thinking, "What if theropods had wrinkly skin heads like birds instead of scaly heads like lizards?". So I compared the heads of modern bald birds and drew this over a trace of Afrovenators skull. Afrovenator is just a standard, run of the mill non bird theropod, so I though it would be a good example. Now that the description is done, its time for an update! *Part Poppers go off in an anticlimactic and lame way*
You may have been ondering recently "Where has Kirby gone? He's done no art for a month! Is he dead? Has he given up on us?" We'll either fortunately or unfortunately depending on you world view I am alive! Ive been doing traditional art. Why? Because my tablet is broken, as was my laptop. My laptop has come back working good as new, in fact better than new, I can finally play games on it. My tablet sadly, is dead. Gone, bit the dust, gone with the wind, to longer functioning. Next pay check, I'll get a new one and be on my way to producing fresh continent on a weekly basis just like before! So stay tuned!

Excellent point. While I love the beautiful bird-like reconstructions of dinosaurs, we need more ugly dinosaurs. It only makes them more realistic.

I agree, not every dinosaur was pretty to look at

I've always preferred this look, particularly because it allows for all sorts of weird fleshy wattles and other structures that you wouldn't get with a scaly face. As always, you've done a fantastic job with this. Your traditional art is every bit as good (maybe even better!) than your digital art!
Sorry to hear about your tablet but glad to hear you'll have a new one soon. I'm languishing from the lack of your art!

The wrinkles on dinos are always a win. Its more realistic than a tersed thight skin with compact scales. They werent squamates after all, their skin was leathery and bumpy.
