The confrontation with Astaroth upon the Hymettus mountains has left Siegfried deeply devastated. Not only did he face the ugly brute, he had to fight against the growing evil that threatened to take control of him.

Unfortunately, the battle with Astaroth had not gone too well and as a result, Taki had to step in and fight. However, it was due to her releasing her cursed sword that had driven Siegfried mad.

Having lost his hold on the Master Sword, Siegfried gave in to his desire for power and commenced an attack on the unwary ninja. Sophitia, however, intervened and tried to restrain the boy from causing any harm. Her effort was futile... Siegfried was overwhelmed with hatred and completely lost in rage.

He would have killed her - he had tried to - but he was stopped by an arrow.

Just a day after the incident, Siegfried had awakened only to realize what he had done. Soon, he noticed that Link was missing - none of the others knew what had happened to him. Link had chosen to face Astaroth; leading the golem higher up the mountain so the others could escape. They had feared that Link was dead.

With his heart heavy with guilt and his mind lost in despair, Siegfried ran away from the others when they still slept. With him, he only took the Master Sword and left his armour - he no longer wanted to cause anymore harm with his gauntlets.

It was a while later that Siegfried had climbed to the point where Link had likely battled against Astaroth. As he stood there, overlooking the open valley where a bridge once existed, Siegfried was highly compelled to end it all there and then.

But someone had stopped him... Cassandra had followed him. She came, upon Sophitia's request, to join him in his travels - not to take him back. She had promised her older sister to keep an eye on him and thus, she made sure he did not do anything foolish.

By force, she had convinced Siegfried to keep going - to continue their journey through the mountains. Determined to find his lost friend, Siegfried quietly agreed and together they traversed the treacherous mountains.

Age: 23 but physically 13

Likes: to be free from Soul Edge's control; bringing pain to people he despises such as Astaroth and his minions; being left alone during critical times; to be treated as an actual adult

Hates: being called a "child" and being treated as a child; Astaroth; Soul Edge; any annoying people; any annoying situation; practically everything that easily irritates him; pretending to be related to other people to hide his true identity.

Weapons: Master Sword

Specialty: Siegfried has gained new strength from training his swordplay and can wield the Master Sword quite efficiently. However, whenever he is struggling in battle or exposed to a Soul Edge fragment he will slightly gain Nightmare's power depending on the situation. Wounds heal much faster than before now that his evil power, Nightmare, has fully awakened but fortunately, it is still sealed by the Master Sword's holy power.

Personality: Siegfried still hates the fact that he is in a 13-year old body. He can't really say that he has gotten used to being treated as such, but he can say that he had adjusted accordingly to his young body. He takes on all tasks maturely with the exception of having to reluctantly pretend that he is just a kid... After the incident on Hymettus, Siegfried has come to realize just how valuable of a friend Link was to him and is determined to find the boy no matter what.

Currently, he is traveling with Cassandra and together they had found a few survivors from Hymettus.
