Texturing? Sounds interesting...
How would I go about texturing him?
Do I create something like a "skin" for him via Illustrator/Photoshop?

Mm. I can also be referred to as skinning, yes.

There's two ways you could do it, one is where I send you a UV map, sort of like a colouring in picture that you can paint on in photoshop/whatever, which I can then apply to the model. The other option is a little more advanced...

You can download mudbox, a digital sculpting/3D painting program from the autodesk website (it's free if you sign up as a student) You'll need a reasonably good computer, but it'll allow you to paint directly onto a model like painting a figurine. (you can sculpt it, too!)

So yeah, there's the 2D way, or the 3D way. If you feel up to either one of them, let me know and I'll go more in-depth about it.

Trying the 3D program sounds like fun...
but for the sake of not frying my laptop, I'll stick with 2D. XD
One day I'll get a desktop...one day...

Alright, first I gotta finish the feet, which won't take long at all. Then I have the super-fun happytime that is making the UV map, which I will then send to you for some high-tech colouring in! Yay!
