"Ember of Life"oil on canvas, original size: 48 x 40 cm.
As a child I believed that fireflies are fabulous creatures from a fairytale world and in the night they are trying to illuminate their way back home. Perhaps back then on a subconscious level was the birth of the idea to paint the fireflies, but in recent years often comes to my mind and slowly formed in the course of time. 2 weeks ago I decided that the time has come and I know well enough the"Ember of Life" in nature to reproduce them on the canvas.
