Picture is bigger than A3, so I couldn`t scan the whole piece.

Very beautiful. Especially colours. You chose wonderful colours. Together they give an amazing effect. I like this light of sky on the trees. I think, it is good picture

Great colors. They are very well chosen. Maybe the picture lacks something in the grass, like a leave bigger than the others. Anyway, you did an awesome work.

I hope you'll post more of this style...more acrylic works. It's fun to see variations of works and styles from an artist, it's cool!

Thank you.
I will. At the moment I`m working with a lot of different medias, to show the judges at the university that I`m able to learn and not stuck on my Copics, even if I add some Copic-works to my application.

Well that's pretty cool then, the tree itself actually seems to have some physical texture to it.

They have.
The grass has some, too. I love it when I can touch a painting and feel the different textures.
That`s the great thing about traditional art

can't believe that you used only two colors, the variety of shades is amazing! I look forward to seeing it finished, I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Thank you.
Three different blues and three different oranges.
Unfortunately the picture is to big for the scanner, so the grass looks blurry.
Hit the download-button and you can see the texture of the trees/leaves.

You're right, I was actually tempted to touch the screen in order to feel the strokes! They really add personality to the drawing!

I touch my paintings all the time and force the people to do the same, when I show them the picures in real life.
Some people think I`m crazy
Another great effect hat can be created is when you mix bird sand (for cages) into the paint.

I know how that's like. A friend of mine does paintings and he uses a lot of color, which creates beautiful textures. When he showed it to me, the first thing I did was touch it! He got so angry! He said that I could ruin it and that I should never touch a painting like that. I got pretty angry myself because I only softly touched it, just to get a "taste", so to speak, but, from then on, I always asked permission!
Oh, and bird sand? Wow, that's really creative, never thought of it!So far, I have only used tissue paper, dried flowers and, occasionally, salt to my paintings. I have to try this out next time I make a painting, I'll let you know how it turns out!
Also, good luck on your application! When's it due? And, mind if I ask, where are you applying?

Had the paint been still wet?
Or is he just very cautious in general?
Salt for watercolors or acrylics?
Tissue paper, good idea. I use news papers or pages fromt he telephone book.
The deadline is between March 15 to 31. Still time left, but I want to work without timepressure for once.

It was dry, it's just that he's very cautious, not your average adventurer!
I use salt for watercolors. When the area is still wet you drop some salt and let it dry. Afterwards, you gently remove the salt, I use a dry sponge(you have to be careful not to scratch the painting surface). You're left with light star-like shapes. I noticed the effect is more beautiful and visible on lighter colors instead of dark. I use it usually on sky areas, to give it a starry, dreamy feel. Also, larger grained salt will produce a larger, more pronounced starring effect, so you can experiment. Here's an example, hope it helps: [link] I suggest you try it, it's really fun!
I know, it's really hard to work under pressure, good idea on taking it slow. You'll be able to create more quality work that way! Again, good luck!

Oh, I noticed that the page I put in the link isn't showing the image properly. There are those page numbers in those boxes, just press that 12 page again and it should work, it did for me! Sorry, i don't know why it doesn't work correctly...
