some ideas to make the picture more interesting (since critique is requested) would be to zoom in closer so you see more of the subject and less of the background, and change the angle of the shot so it isn't from the angle of someone just standing there looking at it (getting down closer to the ground would be the best, either level with the pumpkin or looking up at it).  Focus makes a huge difference, the subject should be crystal clear and the background should be blurred, but all that depends on the camera you use.  I also would have considered the time of day, maybe took it at sunset or dawn or something for more interesting lighting.  And maybe stood in a way so you can't see the house at all?

to take a good picture you have to consider what the person looking at it is supposed to think or feel when they see it.

I don't know anything else helpful to say.  the pumpkin and tree and bench is a cute setup with potential for a good shot, just needs more thought put into how the picture was taken.
