Tre delle foto del reportage saranno esposte in una composizione intitolata "Trittico del gesto" alla collettiva fotografica "Celluloidee - Spazio da diviso a condiviso" c/o Casa Morandi (Saronno -VA) nella Sala della Nevera, dal giorno 12 luglio 2008 al giorno 17 luglio.

Since I began to take piano lessons I realized that music has a strong component of phisicality. Playing an instrument is a wide gesture into the space. And the space melts around an orchestra.
This reportage pays a tribute to the concept of shared space and to the musical gesture in its deepest sense.

I hardly ever expected a daily deviation.
And I really didn't expect it to be assigned to this shot
.I am very grateful.
I would like to thank whoever suggested and liked this picture in spite of its faults.

~frictionfire made me notice that the biggest fault of this picture could be corrected and I did it.
I want to keep the square shape even if it is forced for a specific choice of symmetry.
It would have been stupid not to fix the problem seen that I have the means to do it.

how high is the celling and was there items that stood out?
60% of the top is blacked out, you can see it when u tilt an lcd screen

I don't know exactly how high is the ceiling. It is very high and curved.
Btw you are right, I cheated on the top part of the pic 
I blackend it out because I wanted it to be a perfect square with the orchestra-leader in the middle of the composition.
I was sure I took two identical samples of black with the same value to make a perfect match, but if you still can see the separation line that means I was not so careful. Any suggestion?
The moral between the lines is I don't deserve a DD, I suppose.
Maybe it's true.
I don't consider this picture as the best one in my gallery, but I am grateful anyway.

its pretty hard to match them up without seeing the seperation. you would need to apply gaussian blur around the join area and then add some noise over it and then despeckle. it takes a bit of practice to get it right and un-noticable. i just started using my external monitor last night and some of my photos looked completely different. i had to put one in scraps because the quality wasnt good enough, thats what happens when u use a laptop screen all the time(or a consumer grade monitor which use cheap 6bit 'tn panels'
my external is true 8/24bit, it doesnt have to flash between 2 colors to make a new color.
its hard to tell if you used post noise reduction or the conductor wasnt in focus. was the room bright or dark? im not sure how much control you can have with the camera your using, its supposed to be close to an slr and good up to iso1600.
my only advice is to keep learning, but not just thru using the camera, sometimes there are techniques you will only discover by reading photography guides and learning about the technical aspects of photography not just rules of compostion and subject matter used. i still have alot to learn. i only just realised what f numbers mean and the effect an apertures size has on using the camera and the final image aquired.
its still a good photo tho but imo it could be done better, but thats just 1 guys opinion
