Over a century ago, Gunslinger was the most respected lawman in the Equestrian West. He hanged 20 men for crimes from stagecoach robbing to shooting others in cold blood and locked away numerous others. But sadly he could never keep a mare. His job was too important. He tried to make time but never succeeded. Then his mother became deathly sick and wouldn't get better so he made a deal with Mephistopheles deal to make her better. His soul for her health.
It worked.... For a while.
Then one day she slipped and fell, crushing her windpipe and choking to death. The prime suspect was Gunslinger. So he faked his death by setting Appleloosa's sheriff's office ablaze. He used the Ghost Rider to be come the vengeful demon the buffalo believe he is. Mephistopheles' bounty hunter.
