Commissioned picture for my friend and his characters Morris (jaguar), Tessa(squirell) and Ethan (horse). As a fan of Semper Fi I kinda wanted to join with my own idea.. Changer gave me characters and everything was left to me so.. I did. This Trio is a bit of flash back into the early times existence of Semper Fi .Though, no matter what, this team of adventurers was always looking for artifacts- possibly dangerous/magical/mysterious/whatever objects scattered over Earth.. and history.

Just sometimes you are not successful.. and reasons can be different. This mysterious finding felt so magical but obtaining was fairly easy... there was obviously something fishy about it. Closer inspection of mysterious object showed that there is nothing even close to artifact.. Just a colony of friendly glowing bacteria decided to throw a party on this old Chinesse puzzler forgotten by it's original owner somewhere inside old mine. Anger lasted just briefly until they discovered how challenging it is to solve this little thing. Eventually it became a little trophy and personal "Artifact" which lays on Morris's shelf to remind some good old days.

While doing this picture I reached the limit of paper. I got almost trough so i had to stop coloring. Some shading errors couldn't be fixed because underpaint kept soaking trough every layer. So lot of technical imperfection happened cause of my limitations with this technique- which is causing real pain because I feel like I could work more.
