Another Example for my new commission type! <3She is a Bloodelf in WoW. I designed her transmog to go well with the hidden fire artifact weapon.

Breeze has normal eyes (with central heterochromia, actually, with the outer ring on a different color than the inner ring), Audrey is the one with glowing eyes. And I believe that Audrey could actually be rather cute if she smiled from time to time and didn't act like everybody had something against her, but it's her personality which doesn't make her very cute XD
And my OC folder is there to stalk, I am honored ;-D
I also have the one with the profiles on Sta.sh, but I should write profiles for many more characters, like Breeze, or Chiara, who are rather old and I have pushed them away, the poor girls XD

I think it is really hard to equally care about every OC especially if you have so many!
Poor girls maybe but as long as you draw what you have the most fun with it is totally ok I guess x3

Ooh cool! Always happy to get some feedback! Some of the stories are a bit spoilery though (which isn't important unless you are planning to read my reign of winter story)
Dalindra belongs to my boyfriend, we share most of these characters, we are a creative team XD
I really like developing the personality and backstory of my characters, though some of those are our main characters and others just secondary characters who didn't have so much spotlight, but I believe that a story feels more alive and real when even minor characters seem to have a life of their own aside from just praising the main characters, if you know what I mean XD

Someday I really want to make one of my dreams come true and publish a little comic with my OC <3

And yes I feel you. I just love that complexity where everything can make sense in the end or even lead to some theories and you get mindblown

Reign of Winter CHAPTER 1CHAPTER 1
My name is Kileanna, a good name for a kagonesti elf, I guess. It was the name my older sister, Cat, gave me when she found me as a baby, and the name I still bear. Wild elves change their names when they reach maturity, but I feel too attached to the name my sister gave me. Literally speaking, I still haven't reached maturity anyway, but neither am I really a kagonesti elf, so I guess that gives me the freedom to do whatever I want with my name... or my life.
It's not that my so called people would care a lot about it anyway. They let me know I was different, as long as I can remember. I have red hair, not red as autumn leaves but red as blood. It marks my future with war and spilled blood. A white streak reflects the disgust of the spirits of nature and different colored eyes mark me as a bad omen, a portent of bad luck. Kagonesti elves are superstitious folks, but how could I blame them for fearing me, when I knew that thereFirst chapter incoming! Beware, I have written 52 so far!!!
It's not original at all, as it is adapted from an official adventure path from Pathfinder and ambiented in Dragonlance world (basically DnD-like). The main characters are original and there are some adaptations to thebe story, which heavily relies on relations between characters.
I have some illustrations both my own and from other artists. I am trying to get illustrations for it from most of my artist friends so I have commissioned many of them and some artists I like. I want to contribute more to it myself but I always end drawing for others instead of working in personal stuff xD

I think it is kinda hard to find a compromise between an existing universe and your characters story that you want to tell.
Also sturggling with this (for me it is the WoW universe) and it starts with little things like the Bloodelf/Highelf age.
They are considered grown up when they are 100+ years old. I really want to go from a child - teenager - adult state with my OC but it is just not possible with the timeframe the WoW Universe has.
Classic - Legion WoW is like roughly 10 years a bit less XD
And this isn´t even like one of the huge problems lol
I don´t know much about DnD and even less about Pathfinder so this will be a whole new experience.
I only played the beginning of a premade DnD adventure with friends and omg - this was so chaotic and fun I loved it XD
Really neat idea with the drawings and commission. This spices everything up if you get to see other artists drawings!
And it is also very nice and supportive of you <3
Oh yeah... My personal art folder is growing with sooo sooo many sketches and ideas but I never get to finish them XD
I have just started with commissions and think I need a break already because I need to draw some personal stuff.
Will be hard to find a balance there. Especially if there isn´t much free time and my commissions keep consuming all of that.
I still love it because I already learned some new techniques, jumped out of comfort zones and also learned how to draw a bit structured and faster.
Aaand there is also some sweet rewarding money of course!
But I just cannot wait to use those techniques on my personal art XD
But you probably contribute a lot of amazing gifts and contrest entrys in your freetime?

Yeah, well, I really like to make gifts and help my friends, but they also help me with my contest and sometimes make nice gifts to me so in the end I don't only give ^—^
And I understand what you mean by fitting your story into a preexisting world, I have to face issues with that in Dragonlance because magic was lost for a long time. And I also needed to make Kileanna really young because of her background but she had to be a young adult to dominate the basics of withcraft so I had to find a middle term for her (still not officially an adult by her racial standards but physically grown up)

Have you so far encountered someone who is a very lore-ish person and complained about it?
I am bit afraid of that but at the same time I think maybe it is just not for the kind of audience that is so strict about all that?
