Happy birthday, Sonic! For once in my life I am finally able to make you something and not be late!So yeah, this is a picture that took me about....a month or so. I've had it finished for like two weeks, though.
The reasoning behind this picture is that I'm both an old and new fan, and my favorite part of Modern Sonic was chao gardens and chao in general (I want them back, tbqh ;w; ).
So with Sonic Generations coming out, this is basically Modern Sonic introducing Classic Sonic to one of his chao. The chao is confused because "Why are there two Sonics???" and Classic Sonic doesn't know what to make of this strange jelly creature in front of him.
I must say, I'm very proud of the shading on this! Not so much on the chao, but on both Sonics. Especially considering it's been quite a while since I last drew, colored and detailed a Sonic character.
I did them all from memory, so some things might not look right (I think Classic Sonic's buckle is supposed to be on the outside of the shoe...), but I'm proud of it

Yeah, I loved them for both that reason and just that chao were interesting in general. And taking care of them was fun. I particularly liked breeding them and finding out combinations that would produce different or unique chao. I keep hoping someday gardens will make a comeback ;w;. Just think what they could be like in today's graphics!
