WARNING: THIS IS A PARODY...DUHI seem to always come up with creepypasta type drawings when I've had too much sugar lol.
Ash decides to take the train back home to Pallet Town since it would be a faster trip. Misty meets him at the train station and they head home together. Unbeknownst to them, Serena is following them on a bike. She must have a turbo bike to be able to keep up with the train lol

You know, I actually wouldn't be surprised if the so-called "monster" in the movie, was actually the ex-girlfriend of the male deuteragonist.

Have to agree with that. Never really got or liked the bit where the writers tried to claim that Serena was a "childhood friend" of Ash (when they literally only encountered each other once, and even then, Ash doesn't seem to even remember her), not to mention the implication that she was his first childhood friend (even ignoring the bit about Misty, need I remind everyone that he also had Gary and that Molly lady as childhood friends?). Look, if Serena is indeed supposed to be Ash's childhood friend, they should at LEAST have Ash mention her in prior episodes. I'm not a Pokeshipper by any means, yet even I realize that Misty's got more of a chance with Ash than Serena does, especially when Ash actually DOES react with some emotion tying to jealousy when any boy meets Misty's eye just as much as Misty does him in similar situations, while with Serena and Ash, Serena's crush is one sided, as Ash basically is so oblivious to love that he wouldn't recognize it even if it slapped him in the face.
This is about as bad as Love Hina where Naru Narusegawa and Keitaru Urashima basically got hitched, and in fact their going to Tokyo University was to meet them and marry them, all because of a really stupid children's game of patty cake/rock paper scissors (and Keitaru doesn't even recognize Naru as being the one until... what, late into the Manga? Naru possibly not remembering much either?). No, actually, wait, maybe not quite as bad, at least Serena is actually kind to Ash. Naru in particular was exceptionally abusive to Keitaru, often beating him up and screaming at him if he does so much as even look at her the wrong way, even when the incidents weren't even his fault. The other girls are also bad in this regard, but Naru is probably the worst of them, or at the very least tied with Motoko on winning the worst domestic abuser to Keitaru award. I can't believe he actually married HER, patty cake/rock paper scissors game or not, considering her rather disgusting actions to him. Honestly, he should have gone with another girl.
The haircut bit may not be necessary though, since it doesn't really have any connection to Ash at all, let alone him going for Misty. Not that I don't agree that the haircut was completely necessary in the show itself, though. I can forgive crying when losing your first match, but giving yourself a haircut because of it as a means of shaming yourself? That's going way too far. Not even May did that after the Kanto Grand Festival, and her crying there was pretty much unacceptable since not only was this her second Grand Festival, she even did far better than before, even beat her rival in fact (Honestly, Ash had something similar occur in Johto, and he didn't even shed a tear).

Lol yeah not all of the new generation fans love Serena. My nephews and nieces have watched Pokemon from the beginning until now and they all love Misty and May the best. I asked them what they thought of Serena and they all said, "She's okay."
