Well? Is it?I admit this is a lot like a devation by ~BrokenBloodRight but I asked her could I draw this and she said yes. That's in the rules.
When someone draws Zim standing over Dib like this it's like throwing a bone in the dog pound, the fandom goes nuts over it, but what are we who like Zim suppose to do?
The ZADR club were trying to tell me my pics weren't ZADR.
Their gallery is full of pics like this, with blood and everything. (Well, 99% had Zim standing up and Dib kneeling down, but that's BORING now.)

Lots of Zadr pics are made up of torture. So, I guess you could consider this ZaDr, but it all depends on the viewers opinion. So it's OK if they say it's ZaDr, same with saying it isn't. We all have opinions. Btw, it's obvious you are a Dib-Seme fan. I am a Zim-Seme fan, though I respect your opinion. It's in Zims' nature to be dominant, though, some choose Dib, and I'm fine with that. So again, don't let other people tell you what your art is. It's YOUR art, so you decide. And, it's OK if someone has a different view of it, we all have opinions. Keep up the good work!

All I see in the ZaDr gallery is abuse and torture. Yes yes there IS a fine line between love and hate, but all I see is hate. I like your point. don't listen to the nutcases

<:U Ehh, the reason I don't see your pictures as ZADR because I don't see hints of romance or love whatever. For me it only looks like Dib is just being a bully. Sure gore can be good, but I just don't see a hint of attraction is all.

If it were the other way around, it'll still not look like ZADR. I do like Dib being the seme. For me, Dib looks more better being the seme than Zim because Zim has this girlish figure for me.
The point is, I think it's like you're using wrong expression. Idk how to explain. I first I thought that you must be an anti that likes drawing violence.Or that you're a Dib fan and ur on his, that you're making him win. So I was okay with that.
But then when I found out that you're saying that the pictures you draw is ZADR, for me, they don't look like it. I'm not saying it's because it's Dib doing it, it's the way you drew it. Can't you place a hint that Dib has an attraction towards Dib?

I think a lot of what you draw is supposed to give the viewer a point... There is a lot of Zim hurting Dib pictures, and not as much the other way.. Also, am I right to assume you dislike the gore and see it less of ZADR than others? Making a point that no matter what direction it goes, there is not love in it? I understand those concepts, especially since I am one for the actual romantic portion of ZADR. I can see hate being a key role, becoming an obession then a twisted attraction.. I never said it would be healthy. Hell, their relationship canonly is unhealthy, but it's not reality. It's fiction, and that's what draws us into it. I don't get some ZADR at times.. It's more ZADV with a twisted one-way ZADR... say if Zim was kissing Dib as he carved his name into his skin.. I doubt Dib would be turned on by it.. so, rather than love, it's violence.. And if it had a plot behind it, I'd fav it. It's not like the actual picture is sexy. It's the meaning behind it that tells the story.
But when you get down to it, everyone has their own opinions and reasonings for liking it. I'm sure I would be told that ZADR is all about the hate and violence, which I agree... but then it's not ZADR to me. It's a canon, enemy-against-enemy concept instead. Sure, it can twist and turn, but romance doesn't come into play until you modify something of either or both characters.. that's when the person creating the relationship has to decide whether it should be more canonly or fanonly. It's a fictional relationship for a reason. It doesn't mean it's bad to support it, though.

I want gore. So far it's seems to be okay sometimes but not others, those "others" being only the times I draw it. I completely suuport the club's stand that love is pain. However I don't like that we 're not seeing a lot of love for ZIM!

Ah, I see now.. it just seems too extreme to be serious at times.. almost like it's more canon and supportive of the violence rather than the romance portion of the relationship. -shrug- I personally don't mind whatever others draw. If it's something they like to do, then I have no right to even interfere with it.

You don't get the subtlety, here. What makes it ZADR is actually the fine line between love and hate (or lust and hate, whatever your point of view is on them). You need to hint that there's something more than hate/contempt/rivalry, etc.
Here, you only depict Zim beaten up and Dib standing proudly, there is nothing to hint at something more. (Also, bright sunny afternoons don't give a lot to dramatic pictures, for future reference). That is why it's not ZADR.

Okay about the bright sunny afternoons, I see that now, but you dont' seem to have much trouble showing Dib beaten up and Zim standing proudly over HIM, AND putting "heart" in the title. [link]

If you read the comments on that pic, you'd realize that this was a Halloween picture and a lame joke on my part. And for the hints on your picture, you might want to try less subtle next time, so people actually see what you try to draw

Oh trust me, there's plenty of stuff with Dib over Zim. Its just a bit harder to find. Really it boils down to personal preference, and a lot of people prefer Zim over Dib. If I get the time and get back into a ZADR drawing frame of mind, I may draw something with Dib over Zim. Depends on if I can get back in a ZADR mind frame or not.

though I'm not really into ZADR, but somehow I agree with you. Why wouldn't the fandom accept your pics if theirs are similar? I don't get it. Plus, this I think this is better than any sort of pic with blood and stuff. I never really liked anything to that extreme. Also, what you said about their pics is a little too much of the same thing. It's boring. It's nice to see something new for a change.
