Jokes asides, this is truly a masterpiece ;o; <3 I just wanna hug Celeste, while I know she was aware of what she was getting into (read the comments below) just seeing her like this breaks my heart
Yeesh, Snively really looks guilty though, to be crying as well and just have the look of pure guilt (if I'm correct) on his face. That's what I love though, you capture the emotions just right to give us some ideas who's done what or what they are feeling and we can feel with them as well.
Ahhh my favorite things are probably how you do eyes and tears ;-;

Yeah- Cel knew what she was in for, but she was determined to make sure he wasn't alone anymore. If only he could break his bad habits he'd have an easier time maintaining a healthy relationship. Thats not easy for anyone. It wouldn't be realistic if he didn't struggle a lot and if Cel didn't finally reach a breaking point. Even the kindest of people have their limits.

I'm aware you and other deviants I watch sometimes repeat themselves, so I make sure to read comments on important and detailed drawings like this if I do comment o-o But no problem! I always read comments just in case I get to learn something new or refresh my memory xD
Oh yes I can agree to that haha- I'm sometimes too nice for my own good, but there's only so many chances I'll give until I finally cut someone off. But it's good you're aware of realism in the couple and for your characters and where you want to turn for it <3

Well all I can say is, Celeste Dump the guy.

welp- as the story goes- she does. It's kind of a big turning point in the story because he has to confront his life and choices and decide which life he wants.
Snively at first is mad, yelling at her that she had promised she wouldn't leave, that she would stay and that she's a liar and all those things. You know, typical I'm lashing out because I'm not getting what I want behavior. When his tactics don't work and she still is literally up and walking away to leave he realizes that she IS going to go and he can't coax her back. He panics and begs her for another chance but she tells him she knows it'll be the same, he promises to change, she doesn't believe him.
Then he says, 'then I'll leave with you'. Which means his life there in the city doing evil all of that, and that gives her a moments pause.
Obviously I don't have it all fleshed out yet and it's down the line in their story. I'm a romantic, and while I'm not into the redemption arch, I do want to see Snively at least leave Robotnik/Eggman and live on his own merits. It takes a long time to build up the relationship enough so that it's something he believably can't let go of but I'm working on it.

Though I'm not sure how much like "Archie Comics" your Snively is, but he's not very good with 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc chances.

No he's not- but Celeste knows this which is why she was ready to leave. Celeste is very forgiving but she has limits and when he crosses the line- she's leaving. It will take solid real substantial proof. He has work to do.
I do believe however that a lot of Snivelys attempts at defecting from Eggman were failures because of the utter lack of support he got on the opposing side. I think if there were people who cared about him who invested in him then maybe he'd have a better reason to stay. Hope was great but she could have done more to help him. It doesn't make his actions towards her correct by any means because no one should bend their life to suit the needs of others.
Celeste has an affection for Snively which could be categorized as a personality flaw. She knows what she's getting into, she knows it's a bad idea, she knows he'll only hurt her, but she's desperate to see him happy after watching him live several lives that were miserable. That initial meeting when he let her go when he had everything to gain from her sticks with her. She feels she's patient and loving enough to make a difference but to a man like Snively its purely exploitable. And she knows. And she does it anyway.
So in the end, the heart break that comes is her own doing and you can't feel sorry for her. She made the choice with a clear mind knowing what she was getting into.
