Sometimes I think the ache in my chest has gone quiet,
and at the softest moments in my life,
I am reminded of the scream it bears.
Tonight it is a howl.
Tonight I will be the full moon it sings to until sunrise.
Tonight I will sob into my pillow and tell myself
that it is okay to be vulnerable,
it is okay to be weak.
Tonight I vow, again, to be better in the morning.
