it's like you live in some kind of animal nirvana where they all sit around looking beautiful and waiting to have thier photo taken. you're some kind of dr.dolittle aren't you?..."go on, give me cute...yeah now curious...now cute...now melancholie"
as always chicken, this is fab...

Thanks alot, I'm really glad you like it...
I'm sorry, its a complete secret as to how I get the animals to be so perfectly-perfect...(Get little pieces of paper, scrunch them up, and chuck them into the direction you want the pet, once the pet has arrived, it forgets why it went over there in the first place and slumps down in a confused daze, thus staying perfectly still for around 1-2 minutes).
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it

ah, why stop? for me you are THE animal photographer, coz you manage to catch more then just the fluffy fur of cats or something, in your pics there is almost always something individual, interesting, like there is a story inside and the very own character of the animal on it, yes, I think that is the point: you make PORTRAITS of animals, like others do of humans, you show them in a way that respects them truly as living beings, I think.
bla, I guess I talk lots of weird shit again, I just wanted to say I like your pictures.
for example this one is so cool with this nice floor and the cat looking through the door, waiting for something, I stare at it and wait too and stories appear in my head, ehehe, yes, is just really cool

Wow, thanks!! I don't quite know how to reply to this, apart from simply saying thank you and I'm really glad that you like my photos. I've never really looked at it as taking 'portraits' but now you have said that, I think I will snap my future images in that way, still keeping away from the 'direct' approach. If you know what I mean. When I took this shot, my cat was just sat there, waiting for something to happen, very still and focused, just like you said. And then, about 2 minutes later, something did happen. My other cat came up the stairs to say hello and prudence (one in photo) started being naughty and jumped on her. Unfortunately I was too late to photograph it. heheh
Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them, you are so lovely!!
