Swimming in secret with Professor-Snow

STORY:

After striking a bad deal with the local witch, this charming beach bum found
themselves tangling with a new secret to hide. One that didn't involve the drama of their extensive friend circle;
every night from the first day of summer to the last, their legs would be replaced by a vibrant mermaid's tail!

All they'd asked for was the ability to swim.
With the ability to swim, they could apply for the job of lifeguard, and then proceed to impress their crush!
Technically they did get what they wished for... They just didn't expect it to be like this.
A single finger on the monkey's paw had curled, so to speak.

Though it wasn't all terrible.

Pretty soon they found out that there is a whole different world below in the bright green waters.
Colorful fish who would speak to them, powerful magic, music that could only be heard underwater...
But most impressively - an entire kingdom hidden where no human could ever possibly hope to go!

Whenever the end of summer came, they would step out of the water with a coy smile.
Satisfied knowing about a world that nobody else will ever see, and the adventures
waiting for them the next time the seasons allow.

EXTRA:

- has proclaimed mangoes as their "thing." their friends just kind of go along with it
- is bound by contract to not tell anyone about their secret unless someone asks
- is dying inside for someone to ask
- has a playlist on their phone just based around being in the sea
- knows a little bit of magic, but it only works while submerged or while holding
a bit of water in their mouth. if they try to do it dry, they get an intense migraine
- is dehydrated easily
- despite bleaching their hair, it always insists on turning black while in mermaid form
