STORY:

Once he was the runt of a notorious gang of city werewolves. Armed to the teeth, they tore through rival territories, leaving chaos in their wake. Oftentimes the wolfling chose to stay behind. Violence was never quite his forté. But surely—he'd argue with himself, fidgeting back at home base—all this aggression is only meant to scare. They rough people up a little. Nothing more. The heart always wishes to make excuses for those you love. Since they'd so kindly taken him in as a freshly turned, confused were-pup... they must be good people.

Any faith he clung to went out like a light after discovering the murders. Turns out claiming territories is difficult without collateral damage.

"How many?" He'd asked, voice watery. When the alpha refused to do more than glare in silence, he stepped up, hands balled into fists. "I said how many!?" Ten. A horrific number. Surrounded by family no more, he'd moved to being stuck with heartless savages. Their eyes occasionally glowing towards him as if to see that he hadn't fled to reveal their location. Days became weeks. Each night he would promise under the protection of his blanket; I'll make it right to you somehow. I'm sorry. To the ten of you; I'm so, so sorry.

His chance would come sooner than expected. A sudden raid of their home base went awry and caused the already-tattered building to cave in. The debris crushed every member of his pack and then some.

When the runt awoke, he was in his were-form. But featherlight; ethereal, half there, half gone. In his claws an elegant scythe. And as he turned around—many lost faces staring expectantly. He counted not only his pack, but the ten past victims. Clutching his scythe, the young wolf's head rose to mourn towards the moon. A cry for the better life he never got to live, and a promise to guide these departed souls..

Violence was never his forté. But gentleness followed him even in death. Though the world will never know of the injustice that took place, he can at least give them their final rest.

Additional Flavor:
- Gives off a very faint tinking sound from their ethereal sparkle
- Their "fur" is less fur and more ghostly wisps, made from the spirits of the departed looking for comfort
- A bleeding heart, cries easily (but quietly)
- Will sometimes watch over the families of his pack's victims, making sure they're happy and safe
- Only appears in dull colors, but were much more vibrant in life
- Slightly cold to the touch
- Can make himself solid or see-through at will
