It's amazing what we've become.
We see ourselves as unoriginal
And, blunt honesty: I can agree at points.
So what do we do?
Innovate.
Go as far from the standard contest
Introduce new mechanics, get rid of "unwanted ones"
Bring the cast sizes to a new, potentially unmanageable high(I'm looking at you, Shyelusti)
Yet, deep inside, we're one OSC. Vastly different branches, one big-ass tree.

Mine's like 30-45, his is like 70-100.
