Yes yes anya was originally a random ghost girl i drew then i named her anya after a book called anya s ghost
(that s a rad book but has nothing in commun with delilah and anya s story other than there being a ghost and an anya xD)
anya was the living girl in the comic if i remember correctly ^w^
Haha called my anya anya as a hommage and mostly cuz i love the name
long before i even read the book so it seemed like a good fit
(it was either that of vanya like the girl from the umbrella academy xD)
But if i knew i d draw these characters so much and get into their backstories that much i wouldve chosen another name aso people get confused like you did surprisingly often xD (that s a good thing. The comic s epic and deaerves even nore attention :3 but yeh for clarity i think inwouldve given her another name)
now it s too late though xD she s anya the little ghost girl that follows delilah around (and like kitsch-o-nator drew her scares her sometimes too because that s what little ghost girls do~ xD )
haha now that i think of it will have to draw her having a "scare off" with her boyfriend to see who "ghosts" better xD and they try scaring this old dude that super
scared of paranormal stuff (and carries this huge cross necklae as if it d help)but cant see ghosts at all xD

I like the name Anya for a ghost dunno xD I think it suits her perfect haha xD !! Vanya sounds nice too but dunno preffer it without the V xD sounds nicer somehow 8D!!!
but the good thing is that somehow it's a reference to sometihng cool 8D also books and comics do that like dlkgj references to cool things the artist likes so there's no need to stress haha B) !!!

This old guy that keeps rambling about ghosts and the dead coming back to life.
He thinks zombies exist (they do exist but they re very rare) and ghosts but has 0 connection to the ghost world. anya has a hard time infulencing him (although she s closer to the human world than an average ghost)

I absolutely loved Anya's Ghost, so I knew I was on to something. Your story sounds charming, and don't worry, I too have a problem with making and sticking to names that especially cause confusion as well. There are too many times I've developed a name or title for a character/series that was similar to a known title. It's hard trying to change and make edits to decisions when one has grown attached to them. Good for you for sticking to your guns on it though.

well it is a cute story at first with 4 year old delilah and her imaginary friend (that s actually a ghost) and their shenanigans
(like del always winning at hide and seek because anya d help her phase through walls xD)
but then when anya gets involved with The devial and his associates things start getting dramatic x___x
well i always had a fondness for names like anya vanya delilah and helena.
I doodled anya last summer, with a blue coloring crayon xD it was completely random but i decided she was a ghost.
then i decided she was Delilah s ghost.(del had an existing storyline)
oddly enough the story got clearer once i added anya in (there used to be a lot of plot holes in del s story, now everything s being worked out xD)
hah i remember showing kitsch-o-nator on fb all LOOK. GHOST GIRL. (i think he had shown me ramdom character designs and i had told him that a white hairec character looked like a ghost... haha omg florian you helped create anya!!! ;w; )
and well, i remembered reading anya s ghost and though anya and ghost sound good together xD
oddly enough i managed to change storylines dramatically over the years. Delilah s original story was COMPLETELY different.
I think that once you get attached to your characters you end up wanting to give them a complex and interesting background story, so edits become less scary.
