Alrighty, so #2 of the challenge was an archer, and the random number generator pulled out #28, so my prompt was an archer "based on an insect." So, I decided to base his clothing off a moth. There are a lot of neat-looking moths out there, and I thought their fuzzy little legs and manes would be interesting to work with - hence Rho's very fuzzy hood and the fur-lined bracers and boots. To try and get the look of a moth's wings, I decided to give him a split-back cloak (which worked out well for his quiver) and the wide-leg pants to kinda give him a moth-like look when he's just standing there. And, of course, a nice pair of goggles to mimic the big ol' bug eyes.

Plans for 2024I've been feeling like doing a challenge for a little while now, and hey, January's a great time to start new things (or so I hear). I came across a 30-Day Character Design Challenge on Pinterest that seemed interesting: it's got 30 character prompts, then an optional list of animals to pair with them. Since I definitely don't have time to do a daily challenge, I'm going to aim for a 30 WEEK challenge, with one design a week.While I suspect the challenge was originally for anthro characters, I've decided to use it this way: I'm going to use the character prompts in order, then hit up a random number generator to pick from the animal list and use that animal as inspiration for the character in some way. Since I came across this through Pinterest, I don't know the original poster of the challenge. If anyone knows, let me know, and I'll happily give credit where credit's due. ,
